Team DOMinate Supports March for Babies

We walk for Domenico James & Mia Isabella DeVito.

On March 7, 2017 my husband Steve and I welcomed our first baby into the world.  Domenico James was born 12 1/2 weeks early but was doing great for the first 12 days.  On Sunday, March 21, Dom got a bowel infection called Necrotizing Entercolitis (NEC).  After a tough two day battle we lost our sweet baby, Dom.  We're so proud of the way he fought and so grateful for the two weeks we had with him.

Following the birth of our full term rainbow baby, Emma Sofia in June, 2018, Steve and I were again excited to be expecting our third child due December, 2019.   At 25 weeks, my water broke and following 5 days of bedrest, our Mia had a suspected cord incident requiring an emergency delivery on September 17.   Sadly, Mia was without oxygen longer than was able to recover and we lost our baby girl at two days old on September 19.

We were again blessed with our second rainbow baby, Vincenzo Joseph in June, 2021. Vincenzo was born healthy at 36 weeks following a highly monitored pregnancy and the expertise of Dr. Sara Nichols. We are thankful for the research of March of Dimes and others for their part in delivering a healthy baby.

We love our angels so very much and they will always be with us.  Thank you to everyone for all the thoughts, prayers and support. We'd especially like to thank the NICUs at Lankenau and CHOP for doing everything they could to save our babies.  .

As a mom and dad experiencing two premature deliveries with entirely different cirucmstances we are committed to raising funds to continue reesearching premature delivery and help the survival rate for premature babies.  Right now, babies need all the help they can get. Premature birth affects about 380,000 babies here in the United States. We’re walking in for  Babies to get the message out about this terrible problem and you can help. Please make a secure donation to help us reach our goal. Together we can help the March of Dimes fight prematurity so more babies can get the strongest start possible.

WE NEED TO UNITE, CONNECT AND FIGHT FOR FAMILIES

With preterm birth rates continuing to rise, the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color.

At March for Babies: A Mother of a Movement you're lifting up communities, creating connections and taking action to make America a more equitable place and ensure that every mom and baby is healthy.

Together, we’re marching to raise funds and awareness to transform the health of all families!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
