Joey & Gage Garrison

"Not all twins walk side by side, sometimes one has wings to fly"

Our family joined the walk to honor our twin boys; To honor our angel Joey and our survivor Gage's fight. 

At just 25 weeks i was rushed to the hospital with a chance i would deliver the boys that day. Once my body calmed down they had realized i pprom'd with Joey's sac and i would be admitted to the hospital until i delivered. They anticipated the boys coming within 5-7 days, they stayed tight for 26 more days! 

Surrounded by a million people in an emergency c-section at just 28 weeks 5 days Joey was born at 9:33pm followed by Gage 3 minutes later. The boys were rushed off to the nicu team who were waiting ready for them. When we finally saw the boys the nicu team were honest with us about the condition of Joey. Their team worked tirelessly for 24+ hours tried everything they could but Joey's tiny body couldnt fight anymore. On December 24th 2021 our son went to heaven in our arms surround by so much love.

Gage was up against the fight of his life but took every battle that came his way and he exceeded all expectations. We spect 54 days between Lankeau and Dupont nicu's fighting to get home. On February 15th 2022 Gage came home, tube and wire free! I know Gage is doing so well today because Joey is watching over him in heaven cheering him along every step of the way!
