Meet Jayden and Jordyn

Amanda Segura was 21 weeks pregnant with twins when she was rushed to the hospital. She was already dilated 3 centimeters. Her water broke the next day and Jayden was born at 4:44am on October 17, 2013. As soon as she was born, her contractions stopped. The contractions never started again, so Amanda was put on strict bed rest and given medication to stop labor. Jayden was transferred to the NICU at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she stayed for 5 months. Five weeks later, Amanda started running a fever and then having contractions. She was admitted at Trident Hospital, where her water broke, and then was transferred to MUSC and Jordyn was born at 4:39pm on November 22, 2013. Jordyn stayed in the NICU there and came home 2 months later.
