We're getting ready to walk in March for Babies! It promises to be a fun day out with people who share our passion for improving the health of babies. Join family teams, company teams and people walking with friends for a great cause: making a difference for real families right here in our community. Sign up and raise money to help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.

Meet The Gardner Family
“Your mind starts to race when the doctor says ,Congratulations, you’re going to have twins!’”
Ashley and Scott Gardner already had 2 children at home. Like other parents, they just wanted to have two more healthy babies. Ashley was going to the doctor regularly and her pregnancy was normal and uneventful, until one evening when Ashely was 19 weeks pregnant, and she knew something was wrong.
Ashely was admitted to the hospital that night and despite every effort she went into labor at 24 weeks. She delivered the twins, baby boy Hudson, was 1 pound 10 ounces. Baby girl Harper was 1 pound 11 ounces. They were tiny and sick, but practically perfect to their mom! “They were perfect to me, in spite of the tubes and wires and fused eyes and translucent skin, they were perfect and I never wanted anything more in my life than to be able to hold my babies and let them feel how much I loved them.”
At delivery both babies were given surfactant to help their lungs. “I’m so thankful for the medical advances which the March of Dimes has been part of. They allowed me to bring home my two little miracles! We are so excited for this to l be our second year participating in and fundraising for the Kansas City March for babies. Join us!”
