Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Meet the Shipman Family

Shelbi Shipman knew she would have a difficult pregnancy due to a medical condition, but that didn't prepare her and husband Eric for the fear and anxiety ahead when she was ordered to strict hospital bed rest at 26 weeks. After receiving steroid shots to develop baby's lungs in utero, Sydney Nicole was born at 32 weeks weighing 4 lbs 7 oz with very minimal needs in the NICU at a local Kansas hospital. The Shipman family is unbelievably thankful for the medical advances that the March of Dimes has been a part of that allowed them to bring home their little miracle Sydney!
