Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

Meet Alexandra

Alexandra was born at 25 weeks of gestation due to complications with an incompetent cervix. She weighed 1 lb. 14ounces. She was so small and the challenges seemed unsurmonutable. She before released from the NICU had to undergo a PDA (patnet ductus arteriosus) due to a malfunction of the blood flow to her heart. Alexandra spent 3 months in the NICU and came home with no machines. She experienced some developtmental delays but after kindergarten has experienced no life long delays. We are currently monitioring spine curvage, as most preemies with PDA’s experience some curvature. The March of Dimes with their research and developments of such things a steroids shots, surfactant therapy, kangaroo care and NICU support has made all the difference in the world to us. We are forever grateful and our hope is you will join us and walk this year. Alex and Ginny Gulde
