Our March for Babies celebration is still on, but it looks a little different! We are rapidly preparing for a new, virtualized event that will be fun and engaging for everyone. This change in format aligns with the newly released CDC guidance for large events, to help ensure the safety and health of our participants. More details on our new format to come soon!

ABOUT MARCH FOR BABIES
It’s that time of year again! March for Babies is gearing up for a beautiful day along the Monterey Bay! Please join the President of California State University, Monterey Bay, Eduardo Ochoa, and his University teams at the Pacific Grove walk! Join us at Lover’s Point Park for a scenic walk of 6 miles along the Monterey Bay Coast Trail and back. There will be family teams, company teams and friends walking together to help fuel our mission. Come join our event and walk with us to raise money for babies right here in our community! Special Notes: • All March of Dimes events are smoke-free to protect the health of everyone, especially babies. • Our walk will take place along public paths and is not exclusive to March for Babies • Dogs are allowed on the trail but NOT at Lover’s Point Park and must be kept on a leash at all times. • Parking is available on both sides of Ocean View Blvd. just south of Lover’s Point. Residential parking is available.

Vihaan Deshpande Mukherjee

Parijat and Sonil were excited to become parents; unfortunately, they lost their first baby during pregnancy. In May 2012, they completed a successful in vitro fertilization transfer but experienced several complications. At 24 weeks and 5 days, despite all interventions, Vihaan was born. He weighed 1 pound, 5 ounces. His care in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU) was a direct result of the work of March of Dimes. He stayed in the hospital for 109 days. Through it all, Vihaan showed strength and a will to survive. Vihaan came home, after zero surgeries, the day after his due date. Due to March of Dimes, Vihaan is now a talkative, vibrant little boy!
