This year, for the first time ever, all March of Dimes staff nationwide will fundraise as one team aiming to meet – and exceed – one fundraising goal. Combined, the collective impact of all March of Dimes staff’s personal fundraising elevates the Foundation into the top five March for Babies teams nationwide!
I am honored to serve as your new President. Over the past several months, I have been amazed by the passion you have for the work of the March of Dimes. And each day I am humbled by your continued dedication during this time of transformation and renewal.
Like many of you, this mission is both a profession and a passion for me. As the proud mother of two girls, I recognize how blessed I am to have had two healthy pregnancies, and I want other families to have the same positive experience. This April when I lace up my sneakers, I will do so in honor of every baby born healthy due to the work of the March of Dimes. And while premature birth remains the leading cause of death for children under 5 years old – March of Dimes is making exciting progress in addressing this issue through both our research and programs with women.
You are all champions and I am so proud to be a part of “’Team March of Dimes!” On behalf of your team captains, Jenn Podoll and Kim Haywood, and me, thank you for all you do, each and every day, to support our mission.
