March of Dimes leads the movement to find the causes and preventions for premature birth, the #1 cause of death for babies. The organization funds an elite network of Prematurity Research Centers, including one in Chicago featuring Northwestern Medicine. March of Dimes also educates moms about healthy pregnancies and provides support to families with newborns in intensive care throughout the country.
